Compensated Power

Compensated Power is the result of a calculation that adjusts an Rx according to a change in the vertex distance.

  1. Enter the Rx* and the Refracted Vertex Distance
  2. Enter the Measured Vertex Distance

Effective Power

This is what the viewer sees using the original Rx* at the new vertex distance.

Compensated Power

This is the power* that should be ordered to compensate for the change in vertex distance.

* This calculation does not affect the axis or prism components of the Rx, these components from the original Rx would be included with the above compensated sphere and cylinder values.
